The swinging 60's, a decade of hippies, go-go boots, short hemlines, antiwar marches, civil rights, women's liberation, surfing, peace symbols, rock and roll music and the twist. It was also an era of exaggeration in design, of which produced some remarkable furniture like this uber trendy, now bespoke dresser and chest of drawers.
This impressive 2 piece, retro bedroom set was updated by painting in Fusions mineral paints Bellwood, a sophisticated soft sage green and paired with on a lesser scale, Lamp White, a neutral cool white colour which carries subtle hints of grey.
The drawers were lined using a luxury crown, fabric effect sage wallpaper and their insides and dovetails painted.
The hip art deco themed hard wear was polished and sprayed an antique silver to complement the new colouring of this seriously fashionable set.
And that was that! Sonny and Cher were pulled into 2022. And although some in vogue changes were made, they still look every bit of cool, stylish and retro-tastic as they did back in their day..... ✌️Out!
